PVC hose is a soft pipe made mainly from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is extruded by adding a certain proportion of plasticizers, stabilizers, lubricants, and other auxiliary materials. PVC hoses have excellent chemical stability, outstanding electrical insulation performance, and good flexibility and coloring properties, making them widely used for transporting liquids and corrosive media, as well as for cable conduit and wire insulation. The typical formula for PVC hoses includes loose and medium viscosity PVC resins such as SG-2~SG-4 (i.e. XS-2 or XS-3), which are easy to plasticize and can provide good material flowability while maintaining good physical and mechanical properties, making them suitable for molding and processing.
The product standards for PVC hoses follow the national standards GB/T 13527.1-92 (for liquid transportation) or GB/T13527.2-92 (for wire insulation). Medical PVC flexible pipes shall comply with the national standard GB 10010-88. According to the different reinforcing materials, PVC hoses can be divided into PVC steel wire reinforced hoses, PVC fiber reinforced hoses (including polyester reinforced hoses), PVC plastic reinforced hoses, etc. These hoses are widely used in various fields such as residential living, industrial and mining, agricultural water supply and drainage, irrigation, gas supply, exhaust pipes, etc. due to their excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight, and flexible performance.
